About Me

I have worked with children in many different environments over the past twenty years. Starting out as a childminder, working in summer camps and as a steward in a holiday setting for children from disadvantage backgrounds, I then proceeded to study Montessori in 2008 in A.M.I. Following this, I worked as a carer for children with physical and mental disabilities in Peru. It was because of this experience that I began to look into different ways of working with children that would help them through any difficulties or trauma they may have experienced.

Play Therapy stood out to me as a wonderful way to achieve this and in fact, has many similarities with Montessori. Both are mainly child-led and take place within a prepared environment in which the therapist/teacher takes part. They can therefore offer support as needs be.

I studied Play Therapy between 2013-2019 and during that time worked with children of various ages in schools in Wicklow, Dublin, and Kildare.

I have always had a deep passion about working with children and helping them achieve their personal best, in a safe, supportive environment.
